About Our Instructors
Mrs. Amanda McPherson Atkinson

Amanda started the Michigan Irish Dance academy in 2012. She has been dancing for 16 years and was trained by John and Liz Heinzman with the Ardan Academy of Irish Dance. Amanda started Irish dancing as an adult, joining right in with her daughter’s class. Immediately, Amanda fell in love with everything about Irish dance and the culture and decided to start a school a little closer to home. Amanda became a Certified Irish Dance Instructor through the World Irish Dance Association, however, after several years, she felt being in an independent dance school gave her more flexibility. She is also a mother of three daughters and lives in White Lake, Michigan.
Delaney Bills

Hi, I’m Delaney and I’m an instructor at MIDA! I’m a junior in high school and have been dancing for eight years with my mom and sister. My favorite part of dance is challenging myself and learning difficult skills, which is why I love teaching!
Anna Bills

Hi, my name is Anna. I’m a recent high school graduate and have been Irish dancing for six years. I love to teach and help dancers build confidence, strong technique, and a love for Irish dance.
Emma Snider

Hi! My name is Emma, and I’ve been dancing with MIDA since 2019. I love learning new steps, and working through difficult choreography. My favorite part of teaching is getting to share the dances I love with other people!
